Arlene Florence is an American painter who was born in Connecticut. She studied art at Boston University, Harvard, and Temple University’s Tyler School of Art . Arlene has been the recipient of the prestigious Prix ‘de Paris Painting award. Her work, which has been acclaimed by critics, has been exhibited in many North American and European Art Galleries and Museums.

Arlene Florence’s paintings combine abstraction with suggestions of nature and figurative movement. 

Her work expands the tradition of the abstract expressionist painters and she has great respect for art history and artists such as  William Turner, Pierre Auguste Renoir,Nicolas Poussin, Paul Cezanne, and Willem de Kooning.  Arlene Florence draws one into her art by seducing the viewer with the surface brilliance, the color, and the perfection of composition.
